Qualifications
The Role
You will be joining a group of talented, experienced engineers with successful track records building and scaling products / companies from idea to pre-IPO and beyond. As a member of the Back-End team, you will work with other engineers and data professionals to heavily impact our core products and data infrastructure and delivery of our solutions. You will be responsible for building our core AI infrastructure, scaling and optimizing our products, building APIs, supporting AI/ML Ops and deploying software components from the ground up to production. You will be expected to be able to work independently and with your team to deliver solutions successfully, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve your team’s software, making it better and easier to maintain.
What You’ll Do
- Solve non-trivial problems
- Design and implement secure, reliable, scalable production-grade services and APIs
- Own the full SDLC: requirements gathering, system design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response in a cloud environment
- Partner closely with Product, DevOps and other developers
- Diagnose and resolve production issues with root-cause analysis and proactive improvements
- Propose architecture enhancements, tooling improvements, and performance optimizations to keep us nimble and robust
Basic Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or related technical field
- High-level architecture, design & problem-solving skills
- Profound understanding of data structures & algorithms
- Excellent written & verbal technical & personal communication skills
- 5+ years of demonstrated success building production systems in one or more programming languages
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java & JVM ecosystem, concurrency, performance tuning, and profiling
- Hands-on experience with relational/NoSQL databases and messaging systems
- Comfortable with cloud production environment, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Node.js and/or Python
- Knowledge and experience in ML/LLM
