- Database & Technology Expertise
- Structured & non-structured database technologies and design principles
- SQL & MQL (MongoDB query language)

The Role
As a Data Architect with BlackOre, you will have a key role in translating business needs into scalable data architectures that drive our AI-powered software. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to capture requirements, analyze workflows, and design high-performance, structured data models that enable autonomous tax processing.
Responsibilities
- Data Modeling – Partner with business subject matter experts to translate complex business logic into robust, well-structured data models. Utilize object-oriented design principles and UML methodologies to build modular, reusable, and extensible data frameworks.
- Business Rule Automation – Define and develop a domain-specific language (DSL) and taxonomy to capture business logic and drive automation.
- Process & Workflow Analysis – Collaborate with business stakeholders to document tax rules and workflows.
- Visualization & Documentation – Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications. Define standards for data modeling, metadata management, and schema design.
- AI & Automation – Work with AI data scientists to structure data for machine learning and rule-based automation.
- API Management - Define proprietary API for third-party integration.
Requirements
- Education: BA or MSC in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Software Development – 3+ years of professional development experience with an object-oriented language such as Java. Experience with at least one third-generation scripting language (JavaScript or Python preferred) for prototyping and defining data transformations.
- Domain Modeling Expertise – Deep understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and data structures. Experience with XML, XSD, JSON, schemas, and metadata. Proficient with at least one UML design tool.
- Strong Communication & Collaboration Skills – Ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders to translate complex business logic into structured data models & rule sets for development teams. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Artificial Intelligence - Familiarity with basic Ai & ML principles and practice.
- Collaboration & Work Ethic – Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Exceptional Analytical & Conceptual Thinking - Ability to generalize business problems into generic & extensible data-driven solutions.
- Continuous Learning - Track record of learning and applying new techniques and methodologies.
