Qualifications

The Role

Black Ore Technologies is seeking a strategic Account Manager to deepen relationships with our customers and expand adoption of our AI-powered tax automation platform. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to accounting firms and financial institutions — driving retention, upsell, and overall customer success. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and product teams to ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes, while translating feedback and insights into actionable input for product and strategy in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Sales – Minimum 4+ years in quota carrying roles
  • Track Record of Top Decile Quota Attainment – Consistently exceeding 100% quota attainment and topping the leaderboards in prior roles
  • B2B Fintech or Financial Software – Go-to-market experience with B2B technology sold to finance and/or accounting professionals
  • Account Management Background - Experience in a renewal/upsell role
  • Sales Tools Experience - Required familiarity with Salesforce, experience with other tools (Hubspot, Clay, etc.) is a plus
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication - Able to clearly distill information and feedback to a wide range of stakeholders (executive, business, product, engineering)
  • High Ownership - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Fast Learner - Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new tools, techniques, and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial Acumen - Experience or degree in finance or accounting
  • SDR/BDR Background – Experience in an outbound sales prospecting role
  • Accounting Firm Account Mgmt - Experience managing accounting firms
  • Customer Success – Experience in software implementation
  • High Growth Startup – Experience operating in a high growth, high autonomy environment
  • Accounting Background – Experience working in an accounting firm
